Eriko Morita designed and created mizuhiki ornaments for the limited-edition Gion Festival gift wrapping at the main store of Chiso, a kimono house founded in 1555 as a merchant of religious vestments and ceremonial court attire.

The motif references Takayama, one of the yamaboko floats of the Gion Festival located near Chiso’s main store.
Originally established in the Edo period, Takayama ceased to appear in the procession after a fire in 1826 and was revived in 2022, returning to the festival after nearly two centuries.
