Eriko Morita created the mizuhiki work for the cover of the Isetan Osechi 2018 catalogue, published by Isetan.
This project was realized as a collaboration with inuhariko, a traditional Japanese papier-mâché dog figure, symbolizing protection and good fortune.
By combining mizuhiki knots with this iconic motif, the work expresses wishes for celebration and renewal through a contemporary interpretation of traditional forms.
